Barnsley Leaders VS U12 Goals Tournaments (10:00)

All seven Darfield Dunkers U12 players contributed points as they defeated Dronfield Arrows 67-23 and Rotherham Hawks 47-9 to win the three team tournament at Killamarsh Sports Centre on Sunday. Martynas Kandrotas shared the point guard slot with Archie Carr with Devin Kellett and Peter Fleming filling the other guard roles. Zoe Silcock, Jacob Danks and Lydia Harrison rotated in the forward positions as they dominated the rebounding to hit sixty two points between them.

Darfield Dunkers Rookies introduced Owen Galloway and Emily Silcock for their first competitive games in the Rookie section of the Killamarsh tournament.
The nervous Dunkers trailed 18-0 against Rotherham Hawks before Abby Parkinson opened the scoring with a great individual effort. The Dunkers maintained their improvement to score thirteen but the Hawks kept the initiative to hit forty four.

Against hosts Dronfield Arrows, points from Abby Parkinson, Tarran Kenworthy and Geraint Hedley gave the Dunkers an 18-12 lead. Despite their much improved performance the Dunkers lost out to a late rally by the Arrows who won by 22-18.
